Seat cleaning
Car Seat Cleaning in Charlotte
Seats absorb everything: sweat, sunscreen, spilled coffee, food, and the body oils that build up on the bolsters you slide across every day.
Material decides the method
Using a fabric approach on leather is how coatings get stripped and seams get stained. We identify the material first — including partial leather seats with cloth inserts, which are extremely common on mid-trim SUVs.
| Seat material | Method | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cloth / fabric | Pre-spray, agitation, hot water extraction | Most forgiving; deepest cleaning possible |
| Leather | pH-balanced cleaner, soft brush, wipe, condition | Never saturate; never use degreaser |
| Leatherette / vinyl | Mild cleaner and brush, UV dressing | Prone to seam cracking if dried out |
| Alcantara / suede | Low-moisture, directional brushing | Matting is the risk, not staining |
The oils nobody thinks about
Sunscreen is the single most damaging thing most Charlotte drivers put on their seats. Between May and September it transfers to headrests, seat backs and steering wheels, where it breaks down leather topcoat and leaves a yellow cast on light interiors.
Regular cleaning removes it before it etches. Once sunscreen has degraded the leather's finish, cleaning cannot restore it — only refinishing can.

Child seats and the third row
Family vehicles hide their worst soil under child seats and in the third row, where crumbs, milk and juice sit for months. We ask you to remove and reinstall car seats yourself for safety and liability reasons, but the area underneath gets the same extraction as the rest of the vehicle.
