What mobile detailing actually means

Mobile detailing is the same work a fixed-location detail shop performs, carried out at the vehicle's location. The service unit carries its own water supply, filtration, power and equipment, so it does not depend on an outdoor spigot or a garage outlet — though we'll happily use them where they are available and permitted.

The practical difference is scheduling. Instead of dropping a car off at 8 a.m. and arranging a ride, the appointment happens while you work from home, sit in a meeting in South End, or run a Saturday morning at the house. Most single-vehicle appointments in Charlotte take between 90 minutes and a full day depending on scope.

How a Charlotte appointment runs

  1. 1You describe the vehicle, its condition and where it will be parked. Photos help more than adjectives.
  2. 2We confirm scope and price before the appointment — not after the work is finished.
  3. 3We arrive, walk the vehicle with you, and note anything that changes the plan (a deep scratch, a soaked carpet, heavy tree sap).
  4. 4Work is performed panel by panel and zone by zone, wheels and lower panels first so contamination is not dragged onto clean paint.
  5. 5You inspect the finished vehicle before we pack up, and we explain how to keep it looking that way.

What we need from your parking spot

A standard driveway, a marked apartment space with a little room on one side, or an office parking space all work. We need roughly the footprint of the vehicle plus a few feet of working room, and a reasonably level surface.

Shade helps considerably in a Charlotte summer. Panel temperature affects how products behave; polishing and coating work in particular is safer and more predictable out of direct afternoon sun. If your only option is full sun, tell us — we will schedule earlier in the day.

Charlotte conditions that shorten the life of a finish

Spring pollen coats every horizontal panel in the Piedmont for weeks. It is mildly acidic when wet, and wiping it off dry is a reliable way to install fine scratches in clear coat.

Summer combines UV load with humidity and afternoon thunderstorms. Rain in the region carries dissolved minerals and airborne dust; when it dries on a hot panel it leaves the mineral behind as water spotting. Mature tree cover in older neighborhoods adds sap and bird droppings, both of which etch if left through a hot day.
